	「どうして小川先生はちっとも病欠しないんですか？」
	I know why you're asking. You want to fool around while I'm not here, don't you?
	「どうしてそんなこと聞くのかわかってますよ。先生がいないときに騒ぎたいんでしょ？」
	Well, maybe. But we'd like to have homework-free days once a while, you know.
	「ま、そうかもしんないけど……でも、たまには先生が休んで、宿題なしの日があればいいんだけど」

P.189	I'm Ed's mother. Please let me know of anything I should be aware of as his parent, his mother said.
	「エドの母です。彼の保護者として知っておくべきことは何なりとおっしゃてください」と彼の母親が言った。
	I'm Ed's father. I'd appreciate it if you let me know directly about his grades and his attitude rather than through his mother, his father requested.
	「エドの父です。彼の成績や学校での態度などは母親を通じてではなく、私のほうに直接ご連絡いただければと思います」と父親が言った。

	「それで、あなたは妊娠してるって言ってきた生徒に何て言ったの？まさか、おめでとうって言ったんじゃないでしょ？」
	What do you think I should say to her? But she looked happy. Anyway, this isn't the first time to have a student like that.
	「何て言える？でも、彼女は幸せそうなの。とにかく、こういう生徒をもつのは初めてじゃないのよ」

	「子供名義で大学資金の積立てをしようと思うんだけど……」
	I don't think it's such a great idea. What if my daughter, Jennifer, decides to give all the money I've worked so hard to earn to some cult leader? Legally I wouldn't be able to stop her. *cult leader（スペースをあける）
	「そんな考えはくだらないよ。だって、考えてごらんよ。うちの娘のジェニファーが、ぼくが汗水たらして稼いだお金を何とか宗教の神様に差し上げるなんて言い出しても、法律上ぼくは彼女を止めることができないんだからね」
